New Orleans Charter Bus Rental

US bus rental BCS USA charter coach bus
Few US cities pack as much group-transport demand into a small footprint as New Orleans. Mardi Gras locks the city down for two weeks. Jazz Fest fills the Fair Grounds two weekends every spring. French Quarter Fest, Essence, the Saints season at the Superdome — there's almost always something keeping streets closed and Ubers scarce. Our New Orleans charter bus rental handles arrivals at MSY, runs French Quarter tours, shuttles wedding guests between Garden District venues and downtown hotels, and gets parties safely back at the end of the night.

Booking a NOLA bus in three steps

1

Tell us the trip

Group size, pickup (MSY terminal, French Quarter hotel, Convention Center), dates. Festival weeks need more lead time — send early.

2

Lock in the quote

One total — vehicle, driver, fuel, tolls, parking. Festival-week pricing is higher; we explain why up front.

3

Ride

Driver at the agreed point on time. Dispatch tracks the trip with extra buffer for Carnival-season street closures.

Why a charter bus works in NOLA

French Quarter streets are narrow, mostly one-way, and closed to vehicles in big chunks during festival season. Trying to coordinate 25 people across rideshare in those conditions is a slow disaster. A single coach with a driver who knows the back routes through Marigny and the CBD beats it every time. The driver also knows where parking permits work and where they don't — important for any group hitting Bourbon Street or Frenchmen.

Other Southern destinations: Atlanta · Nashville · Miami.

Minibus rental in New Orleans

The narrow French Quarter streets make the 13-22 seat minibus the most-booked vehicle in town. It fits bachelorette parties, small wedding shuttles between Garden District and downtown, and executive teams arriving at MSY for an Ernest N. Morial convention. The 25-36 executive minibus handles bigger wedding parties and convention sponsor shuttles.

Full-size coaches work for Jazz Fest crowds and Saints game-day groups — wider streets in Mid-City and Uptown handle them fine.

New Orleans bus rental FAQ

Louis Armstrong New Orleans International (MSY) directs charter buses to designated zones on the ground level outside baggage claim. We monitor the flight and send the trip lead the exact meeting point.

We plan trips day-by-day during Carnival — NOPD publishes street-closure schedules per parade route, and we adapt pickup/drop points around them. Lead time matters; book 8-12 weeks ahead for any Mardi Gras week trip.

Charter buses can drop and pick at specific zones around the Quarter — Canal Street, Esplanade Avenue, North Rampart — but cannot park inside the Quarter itself. Our drivers know the approved zones and the timing rules around them.

Yes — destination weddings in NOLA usually run Thursday-Sunday with rehearsal-dinner pickup, ceremony shuttle, reception transport, and Sunday brunch run. We quote the whole package.

Garden District tour buses circle St. Charles Avenue with photo stops at Lafayette Cemetery No. 1, Anne Rice's old home, and the historic mansions. Driver hold-time is built into the quote.

Yes — Oak Alley, Whitney, Laura, Houmas House. Most are 45-75 minutes west on River Road. We do downtown hotel → plantation → return as a day-trip package.

New Orleans airport — MSY

Louis Armstrong New Orleans International (MSY)

The new MSY terminal opened in 2019 — large, modern, well-organized. Charter bus pickup at designated ground-transportation zones outside baggage claim on the arrivals level. We monitor flight status in real time and meet trip leads at the assigned curb spot. About 15-20 minutes to downtown and the French Quarter on a normal traffic day.

For Mardi Gras and Jazz Fest arrivals, build a 30-45 minute buffer — Airline Drive and Interstate 10 inbound to the CBD back up around event windows. Multi-flight wedding parties: stage one coach with a 60-90 minute hold window rather than two separate pickups; the per-hour rate is far cheaper than a second airport run.

Regional alternatives — BTR & GPT

Baton Rouge Metropolitan (BTR) sits roughly 80 miles northwest of New Orleans. It's smaller and quieter than MSY, useful for groups flying in on LSU-aligned routes, plant-tour visits, or whenever MSY availability is tight during festival season. We position a coach at BTR and run direct to NOLA hotels in about 90 minutes.

Gulfport-Biloxi International (GPT) is about 95 miles east — sometimes a better routing for groups combining a NOLA leg with Mississippi Gulf Coast casinos or weddings. We also handle MSY-to-Gulf Coast and Gulf Coast-to-MSY repositioning runs as part of one multi-stop charter quote.

NOLA neighborhoods we cover

Vieux Carré — the iconic center. Bus drop zones on perimeter; no bus access inside. Heavy festival-week traffic.

Garden District bus

Mansions, antebellum architecture, St. Charles streetcar. Wedding-venue pickups; daytime tour-bus loops.

Below the Quarter — Frenchmen Street's live-music venues are a frequent late-night drop. Wedding-party pickups from boutique hotels here.

Bywater

Hip residential neighborhood east of Marigny. Smaller wedding venues, art galleries, dinner-stop destinations.

Tremé

Historic African-American neighborhood, jazz origins, Louis Armstrong Park. Cultural-tour groups and music-history pickups.
