Booking a Long Island charter bus, in three steps

1

Send us your route

Tell us pickup town (Garden City, Huntington, Riverhead, anywhere east), destination, headcount, and trip date. Use the online form, call dispatch, or email — whichever is easier.

2

Lock in the quote

We quote same day with the right vehicle class for the headcount — 13-22 minibus, 25-36 executive minibus, or 47-56 full coach. Hamptons summer weekends book early; reserve at least 4 weeks out.

3

We handle the route

The driver works the LIE, Northern State, Southern State, Sunrise Highway, and the Hamptons' two-lane roads daily — we route around east-bound Friday-afternoon traffic and the 27 East summer crawl automatically.

Why BCS for Long Island charter bus

Long Island is two very different operating environments stitched together — Nassau is dense suburban with reliable parkway access, Suffolk gets rural fast past Patchogue, and the East End is a different planet on summer weekends. The wrong operator gets stuck behind a hedge in Bridgehampton or misses a Friday wedding because they didn't plan the Sunrise Highway eastbound. BCS dispatches operators who run these roads weekly, not occasionally.

Hamptons-experienced drivers

The East End is not just "go east" — coach size matters at every venue (Sebonack, Bridgehampton Tennis & Surf, The Muses, Topping Rose). We dispatch buses sized to the venue's actual entrance, not what looks good on a quote.

JFK / LGA feeder runs

Many Hamptons and North Shore weddings pull guests from JFK Friday afternoon. We stage coaches at JFK on a rolling window, batch the arrivals, and run direct to the hotel — far cheaper than 30 black-car transfers.

Local routing knowledge

Friday eastbound on the LIE past Exit 70 is the worst stretch of road in the Northeast. We route via Sunrise or push the departure to a non-peak window — saves your group two hours and the driver's nerves.

Wedding-shuttle specialists

Most Hamptons weddings are a 3-shuttle problem: rehearsal dinner Friday, ceremony Saturday, late-night brunch Sunday. We quote it as one continuous charter rather than three separate trips — saves the couple 25-40%.

Casino & venue routing

UBS Arena (Belmont), Nassau Coliseum, Citi Field for Mets games, Foxwoods/Mohegan Sun casino runs from Nassau — all standard routes for us with established staging zones at each venue.

One quote, full island

Multi-stop trips — Garden City pickup, Hamptons drop, Montauk side excursion, return to Manhattan — get quoted as a single charter. No surprise fees for the second or third stop.

Long Island regions we cover

Nassau County charter bus

Nassau is the western, denser half — Garden City, Hempstead, Mineola, Hicksville, Great Neck, Manhasset, Roslyn, Port Washington. Most of our Nassau work is corporate (Garden City office parks, Roosevelt Field client trips, Mitsubishi/Estée Lauder offsites), Hofstra and Adelphi student groups, UBS Arena and Nassau Coliseum events, and Citi Field game-day shuttles from the LIRR-adjacent towns.

Pickup is usually at a town hall, hotel, or LIRR-station park-and-ride. We handle EWR/JFK/LGA airport feeder runs for arriving groups — coach holds at a Nassau hotel for one staged pickup window instead of 30 individual car services.

Suffolk County & the Hamptons

Suffolk goes east from the Nassau line through Huntington, Smithtown, and Patchogue, then opens up at Riverhead where the island forks into the North Fork (Greenport, Cutchogue, Mattituck — winery country) and the South Fork (Southampton, Bridgehampton, East Hampton, Amagansett, Montauk). This is wedding territory — June through early October is full charter season.

Standard Hamptons routings: city-to-Hamptons Friday wedding shuttle, hotel-to-venue Saturday ceremony shuttle, multi-night winery tour on the North Fork, Montauk surf-group transfers. We size coaches to the venue access road — narrow private estates need minibus, large bayfront venues take full coach.

Long Island towns & pickup zones

Garden City & Mineola

Nassau commercial spine. Roosevelt Field, hotels (Garden City Hotel, LIM Marriott), corporate offices. Easiest Nassau pickup zone.

Huntington & Melville

North Shore commercial — corporate offsite hotels (Hilton Long Island Huntington, Sheraton Melville). Easy LIE-exit pickup.

Belmont & Elmont (UBS Arena)

Islanders games, concerts at UBS Arena. Charter bus zones are well-marked at the arena's transit hub.

Hempstead (Hofstra)

Hofstra University student groups, Nassau Coliseum events, Hofstra arena sports.

Riverhead & Aquebogue

Gateway to the East End — winery groups start here. Tanger Outlets shopping shuttles, North Fork transitions.

Southampton & Bridgehampton

Hamptons wedding heart. Major venues: Sebonack, Topping Rose, Bridgehampton Tennis & Surf, The Muses, private estates.

East Hampton & Amagansett

Quieter than Southampton, more boutique. Wölffer, EHIT (East Hampton Indoor Tennis), private homes. Tight roads — minibus often the right call.

Montauk

End of the line — Gurney's, Surf Lodge, Montauk Yacht Club. Surf groups, fishing-charter combinations, beach weddings.

North Fork (Greenport, Cutchogue)

Winery country — Bedell, Pindar, Macari, Lenz. Tour groups, bachelorette wine days, corporate offsite afternoons.

Long Island charter bus — frequent questions

How much does a Hamptons wedding shuttle cost?

Hamptons wedding shuttles run $1,200–$2,600 for a standard Saturday evening 4-6 hour window per coach, depending on vehicle size, distance from the hotel block to the venue, and the weekend (peak July-August is highest). Multi-shuttle weekend packages (Friday rehearsal + Saturday ceremony + Sunday brunch) are quoted as one continuous charter and usually save 25-40% versus three separate trips.

Can the bus pick up at JFK and drop directly in the Hamptons?

Yes — this is one of our most-booked routings. JFK to Southampton runs about 90 minutes on a good traffic day, longer Friday afternoons. We stage the coach at JFK to a rolling pickup window (60-90 minute hold), batch arriving guests, then run direct to the Hamptons hotel or venue. Much cheaper than 20+ individual black-car transfers.

What size bus fits a Hamptons private estate driveway?

It depends on the property. Most narrow East End estates require a 13-22 passenger minibus rather than a full 56-coach — bigger vehicles can't turn around or get stuck behind hedges. We ask for the venue address upfront, check the access road, and quote the right vehicle. If a property only accommodates minibus, two shuttle runs of 22 each can move 44 guests in roughly the same window.

Do you run North Fork winery tours from NYC?

Yes. Standard NYC-to-North-Fork winery day trip is 8-10 hours total: ~2.5 hours each way plus 4-5 wineries on the day. We coordinate the winery sequence so the group hits the destinations in the right order without backtracking. Lunch stops at Love Lane in Mattituck or Claudio's in Greenport are easy to bundle in.

How early should a Hamptons summer charter book?

June through early September Saturday slots fill 6-10 weeks ahead. Weekday and Friday slots are more flexible. If your wedding date is locked, get the shuttle quote within 30 days of booking the venue — vehicle supply tightens fast in peak weeks.

Can the bus stay overnight in the Hamptons?

Yes for multi-day trips. Driver-and-vehicle overnight in the Hamptons is standard for Saturday-evening weddings followed by Sunday-morning brunch shuttles — saves the deadhead-and-return drive and is almost always cheaper than booking two separate coaches.

Long Island top events & venues

UBS Arena (Belmont)

Islanders home, major concert venue. Charter buses use the dedicated transit hub at the arena.

Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum

Concerts, family shows, college sports. Adjacent to Hofstra and Long Island commuter routes.

Belmont Park (racing)

Thoroughbred racing, Belmont Stakes June weekend traffic — coach drop at the dedicated transit zone.

Citi Field (Queens, adjacent)

Mets games and concerts — Long Island fan groups bus in from Nassau and western Suffolk on game days.

Hofstra Arena & Adelphi

NCAA basketball, lacrosse, alumni events. Standard student-trip pickups for visiting teams and fan groups.

Hamptons venues

Sebonack, Topping Rose House, Bridgehampton Tennis & Surf, The Muses, EHIT, plus dozens of private estates — wedding shuttle bread and butter.

Long Island airport access

JFK & LGA — the LI feeders

JFK is the primary arrival airport for almost every Hamptons wedding and most Nassau corporate groups — about 30-45 minutes to Nassau, 90 minutes to Southampton, 2 hours to Montauk. LGA is closer for Manhattan-connected guests heading to North Shore Nassau. We stage coaches at either airport on a rolling pickup window matched to flight arrivals.

See our JFK airport charter bus and LGA airport charter bus pages for terminal-specific details.

EWR & ISP (regional)

Newark Liberty (EWR) sometimes routes guests heading directly to western Nassau (~45-60 min via Verrazzano + Belt). Long Island MacArthur (ISP) in Islip is a small regional alternative — useful for Suffolk-bound groups flying domestic on Southwest or Frontier; we run direct ISP-to-Hamptons charters when the routing makes sense.

See our EWR airport charter bus page for details on Newark feeder runs.
